Scheduling Lessons

Lesson Times

Lessons are available within the following times:

Tuesday 9am-9pm

Thursday 9am-9pm

Sunday 9am-9pm

It is recommended that a regular schedule is agreed or several lessons are booked in advance to ensure availability.

Timing & Fees

Lesson time will be counted and charged from the beginning of the time booked. For example, if a lesson is scheduled for 2pm-4pm, but the student arrives at 2:15pm, the lesson will still end at 4pm and the full amount charged.  This is so that any following lessons that day can begin on time or any personal arrangements can be fulfilled.

The fee covers not only the lesson, but also the time that was reserved.

Arrival Time

It is recommended that students aim to arrive a minute or two prior to the beginning

of the lesson.  Please do not arrive more than a few minutes early as sometimes there is only a short turnover period between different students having lessons and they need time to pack up and leave.  I also need time to clear up and prepare the studio.  Thanks!

Cancellations

Cancellations - 48 hour policy (effective from 1st January 2025)

When making a booking, the fee covers not only the lesson itself, but also the time.

Every booking is a time period that is specially reserved and will not be offered to another student. Therefore, students will often have to book lessons that are not at the ideal times for them (due to their preferred times already being reserved for another student).

This means that my time periods are not only valuable me, but also to my students.

Therefore, it is only fair that I be given a reasonable amount of time to be able to re-book the cancelled time period by offering it to other students.

With the above in mind, the following rule applies with no exceptions:

The full amount of time booked will be charged or deducted for any lesson cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.

The above rule also applies to "re-scheduling" a lesson to a different time in the day or week, as this involves cancelling one appointment and making a new one.

Note: Until 1st January 2025 half time will be charged / deducted for a cancellation with less than 24 hours notice (less than one hour notice or a no-show will be charged / deducted at full time).   Anyone who paid for a block of hours prior to 1st January 2025 will only be subject to these rules until all of those hours have been used.
